Winkle Filament ASA Ash Gray 1.75mm 1Kg
Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
Winkle ASA filament is a styrene acrylonitrile, a thermoplastic developed as an alternative to ABS.
ASA, compared to ABS, improves weatherability with high UV resistance while retaining all its mechanical properties. Spherical particles of lightly cross-linked acrylic rubber (instead of ABS butadiene rubber), act as an impact modifier, are chemically grafted with styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer chains and embedded in a styrene-acrylonitrile matrix. Acrylonitrile rubber differs from butadiene rubber in that it lacks double bonds, giving the material about ten times the weathering and UV resistance of ABS, higher long-term heat resistance and better strength chemistry. ASA is much more resistant to environmental stress cracking than ABS. It has a lower glass transition temperature, giving the material better low-temperature properties.
ASA is characterized by having high resistance to external weathering; retaining gloss, color and mechanical properties. It has good chemical and thermal resistance, high gloss, good anti-static properties, and is strong and rigid.
The filament has good results in printing on Bambu lab, Prusa, Creality, Kingroon, BIQU printers.
